Rad Blog!

Last Drink Reaction of 2015! This year was full of them, and do I dare end it with one that tastes so bad? I suppose I do!

Well, you know what I thought about Tornado Energy’s Storm. Apparently, now that I took a look at this one, Storm is their original flavour or whatever. Standard? Yeah. We’ll go with that. Well, if it follows the Hard Rock trend, then it can only go up from here, right?

Right?

Well, Tornado Energy gives me the Ice flavour this time. What is Ice? Is it like Sno-Berry? That was pretty okay. Somehow, I doubt this is going to have a berry taste.

Well, the bottle art is cool-ish again. Unlike the rust colour of Storm, we have a more blue tone for Ice. I kinda like the rust slightly better. It made it look more industrial.

Well, what does it say on the back?

Well, the energy giving stuff is along the top of the bottle again. It is the same as Storm with caffeine, taurine, Vitamins, L-carnitine, and guarana. Huh. I just noticed that there’s little plus signs between them so when you turn the bottle to read the stuff, it just keeps going. It is like those stupid shirts where it has a bunch of names with the ampersand between them all.

Okay, the back of this bottle. For real.

Ah ha! It gives us a flavour this time! I’m shocked!

“Get the power of Tornado Ice, with grapefruit and lemon flavors for the ultimate winning combo. Drink, play, do damage!”

This is slightly better with the translation. Grapefruit and lemon! That’s something! I like grapefruit and I like lemon. Those are both really bitter flavours and should absolutely beat out the medicine taste, right?

Right?

Well, what’s in this thing?

2 servings. That’s similar to the other Tornado Energy drink.

100 calories. 0g total fat. 50mg sodium. 25g total carbs. 25g sugars. 0g protein. 15% niacin. 15% Vitamin B6, 10% Pantothenic Acid.

Huh. There’s a lot less Vitamin stuff in this. There was 60% of everything in Storm. Ice is a bit more…chill.  Maybe that means this will taste better?

Ingredients.

Carbonated water, suagr, citric acid, natural flavors, sodium citrate, taurine, caffeine, l-carnitine, sodium benzoate, ascorbic acid, niacinamide, clacium pantothenate, guarana seed extract, pyridoxine hydrochloride.

Well, natural flavours. That’s an automatic improvement from Storm. There’s no lemon or grapefruit juice, but throwing the word “natural” in makes everything better, right?

Right?

Well, let’s just get to the observation.

Huh! This looks way more appetizing. This is a clear, slightly bubbly liquid. It reminds me of Sprite.

Huh! It smells nice too! Like, really good. It truly smells of grapefruit. It has that sweet yet bitter scent of grapefruit!

Wow! Tornado, you really stepped up your game on this one.

This all means absolutely nothing if it tastes terrible.

Let’s try it.

Woah! This is a very odd taste. Very, very odd.

I am instantly greeted with a grapefruit taste, but then the medicine taste tries to bully its way in, it is kept at bay with a second wave of sweet grapefruit.

Unlike Storm, this has pretty strong aftertaste. The medicine taste roars in, but it is like a dying flame. It stings for a moment, and then it is gone.

This is so odd as an energy drink. This is pretty darn unique as I don’t think any of the “big names” drinks have a grapefruit flavour. This is a decent experience for 50 cents. Way, way better than Storm. It tastes so much better.

I’m gonna give this a free juice box with lunch out of rad. This is very unique. If you see Tornado, I can recommend Ice over Storm.

Wow, 2015 ended with a good drink! Awesome!
